Dorchester Collection currently offers three types of Gift Cards:
1. Gift Experience Cards – These Gift Cards are branded with a single hotel name and can only be used in the hotel specified on the card.
2. Digital Gift Experience Cards for all Experiences – All of our physical gift experience cards can now be purchased in a digital format – delivered straight to your email and can be used straight away. There is no P&P charges for the digital version of our experiences. They can be personalised and send directly to a recipient. These Gift Cards are branded with a single hotel name and can only be used in the hotel specified on the card.
3. Monetary Gift Cards – These Gift Cards can be purchased at a specific Dorchester Collection hotel but must be redeemed in country where the card was purchased as per our terms & conditions.
Can I get a Gift Card delivered?
Yes – if you have chosen the Physical Gift Card option in the drop down menu when purchasing your gift card. Royal Mail Delivery, is used for shipping addresses in UK; European and most International deliveries are sent by Royal Mail International Signed For, which is trackable within most countries and must be signed for on delivery. FedEX is used for shipping addresses in North, Central and South America and Canada. Orders are typically shipped one day after they were placed. Delivery charges are in addition to the cost of your Gift Card and costs and delivery times depend on where the Gift Card is being shipped to.
Can I purchase more than one Gift Card at a time?
Yes, you can purchase multiple Gift Cards, Digital Gift Experience Cards and Physical products in 1 transaction. However you might inccur different delivery charges based on the suppliers that will be providing the items and the shipping addresses.
What can I buy with my Gift Card?
Dorchester Collection Gift Experience Cards and Digital Gift Experience Cards are for specific experiences at specific hotels, such as an afternoon tea, spa treatment, accommodation or dining and will be specified when you receive your Gift Card. eGift cash Cards allow the recipient to choose how they spend their Gift Card but it must be redeemed in the same country it was purchased.
Does the entire value of the Gift Card have to be redeemed in a single transaction?
Dorchester Collection eGift Cash Cards are designed to carry a balance, therefore, if an eGift Cash Card is used to pay for something of lesser value than is stored on the card, the amount of the purchase will be subtracted and the remaining balance will stay on the card for future use. Partial redemption is not possible with Dorchester Collection Gift Experience Cards and Digital Gift Experience Cards and no change will be given should the experience not be redeemed in full unless required by law.
Can Gift Cards be exchanged for cash?
Dorchester Collection Gift Cards are not refundable, may not be exchanged for cash unless required by law and have no value unless redeemed. Guest charges in excess of the Gift Card’s balance may be settled with cash, major credit card or charged to the room account for guests staying in the relevant Dorchester Collection hotel.
Do Gift Cards have an expiry date?
eGift Cash Cards do not expire and have no annual or activation fees. Dorchester Collection Gift Experience Cards and Digital Gift Experience Cards expire one year after the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed after the expiry, unless your Gift Card was purchased in the US where expiry dates do not apply.
How are my items delivered?
We have aimed to create a multi store basket, so you can purchase any product from any hotel in 1 transaction. Our products are still being dispatched from our hotels and their partners, so your purchase may not always arrive at once but be delivered in phasesd based on what products you have ordered and which hotel is dispatching them.
Where do we deliver to?
We aim to deliver physical products and the physical verions of the Dorchester Collection Gift Experience Cards to the following countries, however some of our products are limited for delivery outside of certain areas and this is stated in the product descriptions. The majority of our products are deliver to the following countries unless otherwise stated: UK and Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, European Union Countries, Switzerland, Middle East, Brazil.
