'Jewel of Easter' easter egg
World Pastry Champion Angelo Musa and pastry chef Elisabeth Hot are delighted to unveil their annual Easter egg, which this year takes the theme of ‘opulence’.
Like a real jewel elegantly placed on a velvet cushion, a precious egg in milk chocolate from Madagascar 43%, dressed in a scarlet dress, emblematic shade of the Plaza Athénée, is illuminated by touches of gold leaves, placed one by one by hand by the pastry chefs of the hotel. Each piece is unique and none is identical.
The 70% Madagascar dark chocolate cushion, curved and soft, hides in its heart small rocks with gianduja, like a gourmet treasure, fruit of a work of goldsmith and a real know-how.
